Everyone, please.

Tomorrow is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day.

When I lost Raime over 6 years ago, there was no ‘official’ day.  Many of us who have lost a child spent hours contacting each state governor, imploring them to sign the proclamation.  It was a long road, but it was finally signed by all 50 states.  Last year, we had our victory!  The House Concurrent Resolution was passed in the House of Representatives supporting the goals and ideals of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

As you may know, Raime was just the first of my losses.  In addition to two miscarriages after she was stillborn, I have also lost my preemie daughter, Elora, when she was almost 9 weeks old, and just 6 months ago, our son Connor was stillborn.  I am asking you to take some time tomorrow, on Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day, to remember not just my babies, but every family out there that is suffering from pregnancy & infant loss.  Please, join me by lighting a candle and participate in the Wave of Light.
